Do you think they'll ever show Ash's father and who do you all think it is and why?

I think the makers forgot all about Ash having a father. I remember in the 2nd episode Ash's mother mentioned his father. She said something like "He'll be so proud" as if he would come home some day and find out. Is he still alive?

One of the writer's or something like that said that ash's dad is on a pokemon journey and they may or may not show him. The makers have forgotten a lot of things so they might have forgotten that too.

On a Pokemon journey at the same time as his son who has been to every region over all these years and never once saw Ash.
